FEEL NO SORROW FOR ME AS I DO FEEL FOR YOU. I AM WITH OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN AND YOU ARE HERE. NOW, WHO REALLY IS SUFFERING I ASK? I AM HERE AND THERE AND EVERYWHERE.

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and Friend OTIS LANIER KEMP who was born on October 2, 1927 in  FLORIDA and passed away on September 30, 2006. The poem you read below was written on September 14th, 2006 by Otis' grandaughter April. She had written the poem on the day that the family had found that Otis did not have much time left here on earth and was going to be an angel to look over all of us. That day was also April's birthday.

Otis' passing was hard on the Kemp family as we had just lost Otis' younger brother, Jimmy, on Ausgust 11th, 2006. Otis' 1st wife and our grandmother Mabel, is still with us here in Macotte, Florida. Otis has 1 sister, Grace, who is still here with us and lives in Florida. Otis has 2 children, Rodney and Patra, he has 4 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Otis now rests in peace in the Macotte Church Cemetary on Mascotte Church Road in Groveland, Florida. He now rests to the side of his brother Jimmy, his mother Emma, his father, Razzie and his other brother IJ (Isreal).

We all love you papaw, and the sarrow is still there. We all look to see you again.

          A few call him papaw

          and two call him dad

          his friends call him Otis

          but all are feeling sad!

          He likes his lawnmowers

and has love for his land

          he wanted more time

but the Lord took his hand!

          We all cry for now

          and feel the sarrow

          all that we want

is for him to have tomorrow!

          He feels so much pain

from his head to his feet

          all the doctors can say

          it's all hard to beat!

We know we're made of flesh

and the spirit is what's strong

but how hard it is to know

          it won't be long!

       LOVE YOUR GRAND DAUGHTER, APRIL
